Technologies are already saving lives: a unique operation was performed at the Kyiv Cancer Institute

Doctors performed a unique surgery on a 16-year-old Ukrainian man whose cancer had destroyed almost half of his pelvic bones, despite the enormous area of the lesion. Together with scientists and modern technology, they implanted new bones made on a 3D printer into the Ukrainian's body. This is the third such operation in the history of Ukraine and the first one that doctors are talking about aloud. Previously, such operations cost a lot of money, but now the process has become much cheaper, and more and more people who have suffered such a fate are getting a chance to live.
